Plastics Option - Technology Studies A.S. Degree

Hydraulics and Pneumatics - Hybrid course

This course is an introduction to the fundamentals of hydraulics and pneumatics, which involves both theoretical and practical study, including problem solving. Topics will also include valves, pumps, circuits, hydraulic system trouble-shooting, and controllers for major processing equipment including extruders and injection molding machines. Prerequisites - MAT 137

Target Student: The target audience for this course are students in engineering science /technology studies or the plastics option to the technology studies degree. Adiditonally, students currently employed in the plastics industry or students interested in Chemistry or Material Science would greatly benefit from the content in this class.

Please Note: This is a hybrid course which in addtion to the online component, includes attendance at a lecture at Quinebaug Community College one day a week.
