Introduction to Polymers 101 - ONLINE Course

This course is an introduction to polymer materials to include the fundamental concepts of molecular weight, molecular weight distribution, viscosity, and polymerization. Topics will include all of the major classes of thermoplastic materials, additive systems, and address both material properties and their applications. Prerequisites: MAT 137 and CHE 121.

Target Student: The target audience for this course are students in engineering science /technology studies or the plastics option to the technology studies degree. Adiditonally, students currently employed in the plastics industry or students interested in Chemistry or Material Science would greatly benefit from the content in this class.
